And the Oscar goes to ...

Memphis filmmaker Craig Brewer is now Oscar-nominated filmmaker Craig Brewer. His movie "Hustle & Flow" was nominated for two Oscars: a best actor nod to Terrence Howard, as well as a best song nomination for "It's Hard out Here for a Pimp." It's a great movie. Terrence Howard was fabulous in the film. He's certainly the underdog, but I would love to see him win. Even if it means beating out Joaquin Phoenix for his portrayal of Johnny Cash in "Walk the Line," another movie that was filmed primarily in Memphis. They shot scenes for that movie one afternoon on Main Street right out in front of my office.

If Joaquin was outside my office window right now, I'd flash him my boobs.

There may be a chance for Hustle and Flow, with it being BHM and all. Which would be more socially acceptable? Giving it to the white director of the black film or the movie about gay cowboys? It's a lil tricky!
